Male and female circumcision have both become controversial issues. After centuries of practice, many men are denouncing it and demanding surgical repair of their penis. While there are women who, in an attempt to increase their sexual pleasure, are initiating the removal of their clitoral hood to reveal the head of their sensitive clit.

Foreskin Man fans have some new electronica to go along with their comic books today. MGMbill Records, the recording arm of MGMbill.org, has released a psychedelic trance song named “Intactivista”. The track is performed by The Intactivist Underground, the torch wielding band of anti-circumcision rebels featured in Foreskin Man #2.
The song lyrics were penned by Matthew Hess, who commissioned the electronic music to promote his proposed legislation that would protect boys in the USA from being forcefully circumcised.
“’Intactivista’ is a song about a mother and her son, with four different parts,” said Hess. “In the first part, called ‘Foreskin Frenzy’, a young woman makes love to an intact man for the first time. It is the most passionate encounter she’s ever had, because the foreskin provides unique stimulation that elevates both male and female sexual pleasure.
“In ‘An Intactivist is Born’, which is the second part, the woman is impregnated, goes through gestation, and gives birth to a son. It is during this magical process that the young mother realizes she has become an intactivist, and that she and her son must do something to protect other boys from the cold-blooded practice of circumcision.
“In ‘Prepuce School’, the third part, the mother leads her son to the secret base of The Intactivist Underground to be trained for an important mission. The song finale is ‘Circumcision Wars’, where her son engages in a series of battles to free baby boys from circumcisers who are preparing to cut off their foreskins.”
Hess said the new song reflects the current social climate surrounding male genital mutilation.
“At this moment in our history, Americans are engaged in a culture war over circumcision the likes of which we’ve never seen,” said Hess. “On one side, you have intactivists who are fighting to give men the same legal right to body integrity that women have had for more than fifteen years. On the other side are entrenched medical and religious interests that seek to perpetuate one of the cruelest practices ever conceived – the mutilation of a child’s sexual organs.”

So-called “Female Circumcision” has traditionally meant more than just revealing the clitoral head. It can easily become genital mutilation.
As Betty Odak, a Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked with abused and neglected children, explains: “I grew up in a rural area in Kenya. Circumcising young girls is a practice that dates back beyond anyone’s memory in Kenya.
“Even though the Kenyan government has banned the practice, parents are still risking jail terms and heavy fines to put their daughters through this sacrament of passage.
“December is the traditional month for circumcision ceremonies in most parts of Kenya. Kisii, southwest of Nairobi, still practice these rites. Circumcision has continued in many parts of Africa, and in Kenya particularly, these tribes believe that – it is a passage to adulthood.
“The circumcision procedure for girls involves the removal of all or part of the external female genitalia. Often done with crude knives in one of their huts, the painful operations can cause life-long health risks. The cutting may cause life-threatening infections, increased susceptibility to HIV, and could deprive the girls of ever having any sexual sensation.
“Only after a girl is circumcised is she considered ready for marriage — and the community shuns those who refuse the procedure. An uncircumcised girl fetches a lower bride price.
“There were cases where girls have been ostracized by their parents for refusing to be circumcised. One other belief for the Kisii female circumcision is to decrease female sexual feeling…”
Fewer girls are subjected to the life-threatening practice of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) according to new data from the United Nations, released on the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation.
Despite this background, some North American and European women are actually asking to be circumcised! As we reported in the controversial post Vaginal Rejuvenation, Clitoral Unhooding: Before & After Photos, “Another procedure gaining in popularity…is clitoral unhooding. This is similar to a circumcision in men. The clitoris is covered with a thick skin making orgasms difficult to achieve. Removing the skin exposes the clitoris and makes it easier to achieve orgasm.”
But, as well-known marriage counsellor and sex therapist Kathleen Falken explains, “I always recommend surgery as a last resort. And renaming female circumcision as ‘clitoral unhooding’ is in itself a disservice to modern women. Saying that a ‘thick’ clitoral hood is the culprit is misleading. The reasons that most women who are not experiencing full clitoral orgasms are many.
“First, you have to know a fundamental fact about female sexuality: almost 40% of women never experience regular orgasms from sexual intercourse alone. Forty percent! And my own conversations with women for over three decades indicates more like 50%, with the latest sex surveys indicating even higher rates.
“On the other hand, a high number women who experience oral sex, known as cunnilingus, say that this gives them the most intense orgasms of their lives. So? I know that a lot of men, especially over 40, won’t ‘eat pussy.’ Well, explain to him that if he loves you, he SHOULD.
