Anejaculation or Delayed Ejaculation: How to Speed up Ejaculation and Orgasm

July 30, 2011

GUYS - TAKING TOO LONG TO COME?

"I love sex with him but I sometimes feel I just don't turn him on enough or something as 9 times out of 10 he has to finish himself off!" a wife recently complained.  She isn't alone.  A recent men's health survey found that 8% of men surveyed admitted to not being able to reach orgasm during sexual intercourse.

"Now that we have effectively conquered Premature Ejaculation, it's time that we cure Anejaculation, known commonly as Delayed Ejaculation, which is its opposite," said Dr John Hayden, andrologist, or male sexual medicine specialist, in a recent statement.

What is Anejaculation? It is the inability to reach orgasm (Climax) during sexual activity.  Also known as orgasmic climax disorder, orgasmic climax dysfunction or orgasmic climax inhibition, Anejaculation is usually defined as a condition in which no ejaculation occurs at all.

Anorgasmic Anejaculation is the inability to ejaculate or persistent difficulty in achieving orgasm despite the presence of normal sexual desire and sexual stimulation.

The Mayo Clinic describes Anejaculation as: "Delayed ejaculation -- sometimes called impaired ejaculation -- is a condition in which it takes an extended period of sexual stimulation for a man to reach sexual climax and release semen from the penis (ejaculate). Some men with delayed ejaculation are unable to ejaculate at all."

How is Delayed Ejaculation treated?

First, a medical examination will determine the cause. There may be underlying physical causes including diabetes, hypertension, Spinal cord injury, surgery-related symptoms, urinary tract infections or thyroid imbalance. It can also be caused by stress or anxiety. Only a medical examination can uncover the underlying cause.

Of the many causes, medical studies are saying that hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is proving to be a major cause of sexual dysfunction in men.

Symptoms of underactive thyroid include weight gain (especially a pot belly), forgetfulness, high cholesterol levels, low sex drive, hair loss, constipation, dry skin, infertility, fatigue and depression.

In a groundbreaking study released by the "Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism," medical researchers reported on the connection between specific sexual problems in men and thyroid conditions -- including hyperthyroidism (HIGH thyroid) and hypothyroidism (LOW thyroid) -- in those men.

A significant number of men were evaluated for a range of common problems, including a low sex drive (hypoactive sexual desire), erectile dysfunction, and either premature ejaculation or else delayed ejaculation.

They were examined twice, once while symptomatic, and a second time approximately twelve weeks after their thyroid levels had returned to normal range.

Tests proved that men with both high and low thyroid levels suffered from low sex drive and erectile dysfunction (ED).

Men with hyperthyroidism (HIGH thyroid) suffered from PE - premature ejaculation.

Men with hypothyroidism (LOW thyroid) suffered from Anejaculation - Delayed Ejaculation.

How, then, are men suffering from Low Thyroid treated?

Dr Hayden said, "This is where the problem comes in. The clinical trials indicated than men with Low Thyroid will probably suffer from delayed ejaculation. And yet GP's can only prescribe a thyroid medication such as Synthroid or Levothyroxine if their patient's TSH level is sufficiently low to justify prescribed drugs. And yet the trials indicated delayed ejaculation in men whose TSH levels were declared to be 'minimally low' or 'boderline.' There's a real problem here."

How then can men who know they have a low Thyroid level but are unable to get a prescription, get their TSH levels to normal -- and regain their ability to have strong ejaculations?

Dr Hayden recommends three steps:

ONE: Iodine & Selenium. The lack of iodine in the diet can in itself be a factor in low thryroid levels. And along with iodine, selenium is a critical mineral for maintaining proper function of the thyroid gland. Dr Hayden recommends taking the two together, around 0.15 mg of iodine and 55 mcg of selenium. The best way to take these is as part of a multi vitamin/multi mineral supplement. Just check the list of medicinal ingredients on the bottle.

TWO: L-Tyrosine. L-Tyrosine, or Tyrosine, is a non-essential amino acid that plays an important role in the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine as well as a precursor for adrenaline. L-Tyrosine is used by the thyroid, along with iodine, to activate the T3 and T4 hormones and normalize thyroid levels. It is essential in increasing thyroid levels and function. L-Tyrosine is readily available. This should NOT be taken by men or women with Hyperthyroidism (HIGH thyroid).

THREE: Ejaculate Volume Enhancer. Ejaculate is the fluid that combines from the prostate and seminal glands. The average volume of semen produced at ejaculation is 2 to 5ml. There are a number of treatments that can increase ejaculate volume. Dr Harden recommends MaxoCum "because it not only dramatically increases ejaculate volume, but also will boost testosterone production, which is important in overall recovery of sexual health.  The pressure of the increased ejaculate volume will cause a quicker sexual climax, and the extra volume will increase the time and intensity of the man's orgasm."
