Don't be put off by his singles status. Check out all the great things guys in their 40s have to offer.
Don't believe everything you read. When men turn 40, every glossy magazine you pick up explains why 40+ year old men are risky propositions as far as dating goes. Apparently, they are too used to living solo and have developed commitment or intimacy troubles. With all this negative talk, single women should not make the mistake of forgetting all the good contributions that makes a 40-year-old guy a superb catch.
Okay, sure these guys are probably a little set in their ways, largely because they have only had themselves to worry about, and breaking old habits could prove a little frustrating. But, think about the positives, these guys are well experienced to manage their personal and home affairs. More than likely, they will be able to keep a home well maintained, wash their own clothes, clean the dishes after they have finished, pay the bills and balance the books.
These guys are not going to rely on you to hold their hand every minute and become their stand in Mother. Of course, however, if the guy happens to be 40 and still living at home, and in the same bedroom he kept when he was 10 years of age, everything in this article becomes null and void.
Unless the guy you're considering dating has been a complete hermit for the last 20+ years, he's probably experienced a decent variety of women, and met many of them through various singles resources. He's met women through friends, at work, at bars, blind dates and online dating sites. He has a lot of experience and probably won't want to waste his time being with the wrong woman.
He is career focused and financially secure. Many men spend their 20s and 30s building their career and can often let things like relationships continue to get put on the back burner. But now, his career is paying off for him and he is ready to settle down with someone. We are not saying that all 40-year-old men are wealthy, but they are likely to have settled into their work life and are satisfied.
These guys are far less likely to look elsewhere for companionship, in fact, there is scientific evidence to suggest that men in their 20s and 30s are far more likely to cheat on their partners than 40 something year old men. The majority of men don't often reach full maturity until their late 30s early 40s, and are more likely to be grateful for what a great woman can contribute to his life.
At this age group, a man will usually only have a certain amount of get-up-and-go - work, watching the big game on TV and adoring his woman.
